Speed

Four small steps tonight: a few careful questions that fit the program to you — answer them honestly, they change how this program treats you — a five-question baseline, your goals, and your log, set up and ready for this evening. No changes to anything yet. Just the starting line.

Why that day hit so hard

Let me guess how some of your hardest days go. Nothing big happens — a small comment, a small delay — and the reaction that comes out of you is huge. Later you ask the question with no answer: why did that hit me so hard today?

Here's this program's answer: the size of a reaction isn't set only by the trigger. It's set by the body the trigger lands in. Short on sleep, running on skipped meals, paying for last night's drinks — that body fires bigger waves from smaller sparks. Not a character flaw. A budget.

So, clearly, up front: this is not a wellness program. It's an emotion-skills program that works through the body. And I won't tell you sleep matters — I'm going to show you your Tuesdays.

(If you're coming from Ride the Wave: session thirteen there handed you the five body levers on one card. This program is that card, expanded into the full machine — same five areas, same plain names, with your own data doing the persuading.)

How the six weeks work

  • Six weeks, in a fixed order: see how the body sets the wave height, then work the levers one at a time — sleep, meals, substances, movement, illness — and finish with a floor you can keep.
  • The engine is a sixty-second log, every evening: how you slept, whether meals happened, movement, substances, feeling ill or in pain — and how reactive today actually was, zero to five.
  • Each week the program lines your factors up against your reactivity — the night before against the day after — and shows you the link. Not advice. Your own data, doing the persuading.
  • Then, instead of a lifestyle overhaul, one experiment: change a single factor for one week, predict what happens, and measure it. That's the whole method. Floors, not ceilings — always.

Before anything else

A few careful questions — answer them honestly, because they change how this program treats you. If eating has ever been a place of struggle — an eating disorder, now or in the past — say so: every eating session then runs in rhythm-only mode. No counting calories, no restriction, no talk of weight. Ever. If cutting back on alcohol or another substance keeps not working, this program isn't the tool — Clear Path is; and involve a doctor before reducing anything your body depends on, because stopping some substances suddenly can be dangerous. If sleep has been broken most nights, for months, that's insomnia — Sleep Again treats it; here we only anchor sleep. And if you have a medical condition, chronic pain, or you're pregnant: talk with your doctor before changing how you move.

Nothing you answer locks anything. Then: the five-question baseline, your goals, and your log — set up and ready for tonight.
