Four small steps today: a five-question baseline, the four safety questions, your category set, and your log. No skills yet — just the equipment and the starting line.

Welcome

If you're here, you know the pattern. The message is sent before the thought finishes. The order is placed. The words are out. The job is quit. And then — ten seconds later — the other part of you arrives, and gets handed the bill.

Here's the first thing I want on the record. You're not reckless. You're not weak. Your gap is short — the space between an urge and an action. In you, right now, it's measured in fractions of a second.

The gap is trainable. That's the whole program. We're not going to shrink your urges. We're going to grow the space after them.

How the six weeks work

Six weeks, in a fixed order. How impulses work. Then the pause. Then the chain — how each act actually happens. Then your environment. Then the harder cases. And last, a gap that stays.

The engine is an urge log. Sixty seconds, after an urge — acted on or not. Category, strength, whether you paused, whether you acted. Next day, one more question: any regret. That log turns into something no lecture can give you: every urge that faded on its own becomes recorded proof that the urge was weather, not a command. Your proof, in your numbers.

And every week we read your data together. Pause-success rate is the headline. From it, one prescription: how long your pause grows next, and which category we target.

Four safety questions first

Answer them straight — they decide what this program is allowed to be for you.

If the impulses that worry you involve hurting yourself: this program is built for everyday impulsivity, and that's not this. You'll get crisis resources, and a referral to full DBT with a clinician — because that's what works. A referral, not a closed door.

If substance urges come with signs of dependence — needing more, feeling ill without it — Clear Path is built for that, and stopping some substances suddenly needs a doctor involved. You can still train here; substances come off your category list.

If gambling has reached chasing losses, or amounts you hide: specialist treatment exists, and it works. Same arrangement — that category goes to the specialists, the rest stays with us.

And if an impulse could put someone else in danger — in anger, on the road — I'll say it plainly: people can get hurt, so that gets its own machinery. Even Keel covers anger now; Flashpoint is coming.

Straight answers, then your log. Let's begin.
