A few small steps today: the safety questions, a baseline check-in, and your log. No skills yet — just the equipment and the starting line.

Welcome

If you're here, my guess is that eating has stopped feeling simple. Maybe there's a version of you that eats without much thought, and another version — later, alone, at a certain hour — that eats a great deal, fast, and can't quite say why. Maybe there's shame sitting on top of all of it, whichever version shows up.

Here's the first thing I want on the record, and I mean it plainly: binge eating isn't a willpower problem. It's an urge — mechanically the same as any other urge — that happens to be aimed at food. Nothing here is a character flaw.

This program teaches one skill before any other, and we'll return to it constantly: telling hunger from feeling. And it builds a gap — a small space between the urge and the eating — where a different choice becomes possible. That's the whole program.

How the six weeks work

Six weeks, in a fixed order: how the urge works, then riding it, then the chain behind a binge, then the harder moments, then what comes after one.

The engine is an eating-urge log. When an urge hits: the feeling behind it, how strong, and one call only you can make — hunger, or emotion. Then, after: did you surf it, eat mindfully, or binge.

That one call — hunger or emotion — is the quiet heart of this program. Most people start unable to tell them apart reliably. Your log makes the difference visible, entry by entry, until it isn't a guess anymore.

And every week we read your numbers together — urges surfed, binges, how often the call was right — and set the next step from them. Your data, your pace.

One thing before we begin

In a moment, a short set of health questions decides how this program runs for you. If there's a low body weight, or any sign of restriction sitting alongside the eating you've described, that combination needs a doctor and an eating-disorder specialist first — not a self-help program, however well built. If purging is any part of the picture — vomiting, laxatives, exercise used specifically to undo eating — same answer, every time: that gets specialist care, because that's what actually treats it. And if you've told us about a medical complication, we'll ask you to bring your doctor in before we go further.

None of that is a door closing. It's me making sure you get the right care first — and if any of it is true for you today, this program continues in an education-only mode, so you're never turned away with nothing.

Straight answers, then your log. Let's begin.
