A few careful questions, a five-question baseline, your goals, and your two logs — set up and ready for tonight. Nothing here fixes anything yet. Just the starting line.
I want to start with something hard to even describe: a flatness. A hollowness. A sense that something in you is missing, even when your life looks fine from the outside. Not quite sadness — emptier than that. Maybe you've tried to fill it: a new job, a relationship, a full weekend — and found the feeling still there underneath, waiting.
I'm not going to rush to explain it away, or fix it in one line. Here's what I can tell you, plainly, because it's the whole program: emptiness doesn't answer to being chased. It answers, slowly, to a life built around what actually matters to you.
Sometimes this kind of emptiness comes with thoughts of ending things, or hurting yourself, as a way to make it stop. If that's ever true for you — right now, or at any point ahead — I want you to know: that's serious, and I won't look away from it. Every screen carries a crisis-resources card from here forward. Use it, or reach out to someone today. An app cannot carry you through that moment. A person can.
And if what you feel is less like emptiness and more like unreality — detached from your own body, watching your life from outside it — that's a different pattern. This program isn't built to treat that directly. We have one that is: Steady Ground.
Nothing you answer locks anything. And one more thing, which I'll say more than once: this works best alongside a therapist. If you don't have one, finding one is worth doing alongside this program, not instead of it.
Then: the five-question baseline, your goals, and your two logs — set up and ready for tonight.
