The Cost Audit

Speed

Today we count. Not judge. This move, I've used before — Second Thought had a version of it, aimed at impulses. Same tool, aimed at explosions now. If you've told yourself 'I just have a temper,' that's a story with no numbers in it. Today we get numbers.

Three domains, plainly named

Relationship — words that can't be unsaid, someone flinching before you finish a sentence. Property — the door, the wall, the phone. Work — the meeting, the email sent at full volume, the reputation. Different targets, same pattern.

Not a feeling rated. A receipt, read back.

The audit isn't 'how angry were you.' It's 'what did it cost, specifically.' 'I just have a temper' is a story with no numbers. The log turns it into: this many explosions this month, this much cost, in these domains. A story you can't work with becomes data you can.

The other side of the receipt

What did each explosion buy. The release. The point made instantly. For about ten seconds, it worked. That part is true, and naming it isn't an excuse — it's why the pattern persists at all.

The trade, priced out

A held gap buys the same brief release — the ten seconds pass either way — but the cost column stays empty. Same relief. No bill. That's the entire trade this program trains toward.

If a substance is usually in the room

If you flagged that at onboarding, this audit still runs in full — the cost columns are the same, whatever fuels the spike. Clear Path handles that layer separately; you can run both.
